This company was launched in 2008. It was at the time when financial markets all over the world were squeezed by the worst financial crisis since Great Depression. But we were not afraid. We simply couldn’t care less. We were enthusiastic and full of passion. As a matter of fact, we still are. I wanted to solve real problems. I had enough theoretical discussions about statistical models and their possible domain of application. I wanted to build them in practice and help businesses in unleashing their full potential with quantitative methods.
If you choose us, you can be sure that we will attack your problem vigorously. That we will work around-the-clock to provide you with the best solution possible in given circumstances, not just a solution. We are not just another company offering you analytical services. We are a company founded by a person with passion towards data science. The more complex and unique your problem, the better. We are not afraid of incomplete and obscure data, datasets with terabytes of records, and poorly defined problems. We like challenges. We will work with you closely and find our way through troubled waters of spurious regressions, inconclusive tests, and contradictory results.
I’m a statistician/econometrician, an economist, and a programmer. In other words, I’m a data scientist. What do I do? I help businesses find the best solutions to their problems, unleash their full potential, and become truly innovative companies. Unlike other data scientists, however, I’m an independent data scientist. I’ve been running my own company since 2008 and had no public funding.
Since I started studying finance I’ve realized that by analyzing data we could find the answers to the most urgent questions, and that the only limitation of our ability to get to the truth was the quality of the data themselves and the suitability of quantitative methods, models and techniques we used. At the time I got my Ph.D. degree I had enough theoretical discussions about statistical models and their possible domain of application. I wanted to build them in practice and help businesses. In 2008 I launched STATMET. Since then I've never regretted that decision.
